Juan Browne looks at the prelimanary NTSB report on the East Palestine freight train derailment Personally as it was never really a "green" project, in that it kept thousands of computers running when they shoould have been idle, I for one would not rejoin if it did start up again. It seems highly unlikely it would return in the same format. I take that to mean it would require a new team to ressurect the project. If this happens, will start distributing work again. We hope that other UC Berkeley astronomers will find uses for the huge computing capabilities of for SETI or related areas like cosmology and pulsar research.
